Vroom Vroom Auto sales is a website designed for users who are searching for a vehicle to purchase.

Challenge
The challenge we are trying to solve is when people shop for vehicles they often have to research more information on external websites.
Goal
By using our website you could find all information needed all in one place in order to confidently shop for a vehicle.
The research methods used for this project where user interviews, task analysis, competitive & comparative analysis, and product research. There were many assumptions going into each research method such as with the user interviews and task analysis I assumed that I could predict from the jump what exactly users wanted/needed and exactly what task users would easily understand and struggle with. After conducting the research I realized some of my assumptions were correct but there were many options users may need when shopping for a vehicle and pain points in my original designs.
User Research
Erin was our core user persona, exemplifying the needs, values, goals, and frustrations of our potential users. Her interest lies mostly in the ability to easily find a reliable family vehicle because she spends a lot of time going on family trips and commuting to and from work.
User Persona
Erin’s Goal is to be able to find any information on the vehicle she is interested in easily without having to search elsewhere. For that to be the goal of the user I felt that should be the main goal I should also go after while designing this app.
User Journey Map
This was the first attempt on making a wireframe for the app. I wanted to show the main user flow of the app and how it would function.
Wireframes
Paper wireframes
Difficulty Understanding- Users have slight confusion when looking for cars, an insight is: users need better cues for where to specifically select a vehicle
Appointment Confirmation- Users had an issue with not being able to confirm appointment before it was set, an insight is: users should have the option to confirm before the process is complete.
Calendar needed- Users feel there should be a calendar so it can be easier to set appointments, an insight is: a calendar should be put in place to make scheduling easier.
User Research Pain Points
Low Fidelity Wireframes
Overall the tasks for the main flow were easy for users to complete including task such as completing the full user flow, searching for a car, and setting up an appointment. Some task did give a couple of the users some difficulty such as finding the account settings and finding the search page but not enough to the point they couldn’t complete the flow.
Findings
It was observed that users didn’t like how the account settings icon and search icon were not visible at the moment of this wireframe.
It was observed that some of the users wanted to have the information from the cars right there on the page. This meant that I had to make that information visible on the vehicle pages.
Usability Study Findings
Branding
Hi fidelity prototype
The design of this app will have a positive impact for the daily use of all users looking to purchase a vehicle. Many peers have expressed that this would have been very useful while they were in the market for a car.
Throughout this project I learned how useful user interviews and usability studies can actually be because you can’t always know how all users may think or go about using your website/app.
Next Steps
We should continue doing research to have a better understanding of what users prioritize for information they need to know on vehicles they are interested in.
Continue to iterate and update the design based on feedback from users.
Continue to gain knowledge and practice my skills to improve my overall designs.
Accessibility Considerations
For users who struggle with their sight this app has very high contrast which will benefit all users.
Also for users who struggle with their sight this app is compatible with screen readers.
For all users I used a proper use of headings to create an easy to navigate structure for this app.
