Challenge
The original website had usability issues such as inconsistent scrolling behavior, design elements that didn’t fit properly on all screen sizes, and unclear navigation. Users reported difficulty in finding key information, leading to frustration. My goal was to refine the site’s UI/UX to improve usability, fix these technical issues, and create a more visually engaging experience.

Wireframes
Paper wireframes
These are paper wireframes for the Hireprosonly website. The pages shown are the home page, the “I’m a pro” page, the “I’m hiring” page, and the login page.
Low Fidelity Mobile Wireframes
Hi fidelity prototype
After the high-fidelity prototype was finalized, a usability test guide was written. These tasks were given to participants to test the usability of the app and to see if the participants could properly navigate through the website without any help.
Usability Test Objectives:
Navigate to the I’m a pro page as a designer
Navigate to the Contact us page
Navigate to the about us page
Navigate to the I’m hiring page
Navigate to the login page
Navigate back to the home page
All six participants successfully navigated the site without assistance, confirming that the new navigation structure is intuitive. However, two participants initially overlooked the ‘I’m a Pro’ page because it blended too much with other menu options. Based on this, I adjusted its visibility by adding a more prominent call-to-action.
This redesign improves the site’s usability by creating a more intuitive navigation structure and eliminating usability barriers. These improvements are expected to enhance user engagement, reduce bounce rates, and ultimately contribute to higher conversion rates.
Next Steps
Identify any additional usability pain points. Future iterations may focus on refining accessibility, enhancing mobile responsiveness, and incorporating further user feedback.
